Through a mix of face-to-face and online sessions, along with in-school support, the GROW Programme helps you develop language teaching skills to take back to your classroom.

In this programme you will learn about Educational Leadership with a specific focus on how to lead a Languages Department.
Communication is at the core of the Learning Languages Area of the New Zealand Curriculum. This programme is intended for languages teachers of levels 1-4 of the NZC, who would like to inquire into improving student outcomes, with a particular focus on increasing students spoken use of the language
This GROW programme is available to any teacher at primary, intermediate and secondary schools of Pasifika languages and Te Reo Māori. This programme aims to challenge teachers’ perspectives of curriculum and task design concerning the place of Pasifika and Māori perspectives in 21st century learning.
Our Asia-Pacific programmes support language learning through connections with fluent speakers and other language teachers. Cluster-based and mentored by our facilitator team, the programmes use a combination of face-to-face sessions, online meetings, and in-school support to help teachers develop their language teaching skill sets. There is a language study option with a grant-in-aid available.
In the current environment, the Grant-in-aid of $500 towards language study which is a part of the Strengthening Asia-Pacific Language Teaching – North Asia programme is a huge benefit to teachers to have another means of language learning and support at this time.
We warmly invite all former and current participants of our PACT and SAPLT North Asia programmes to attend a workshop day and early evening function with the North Asia CAPE and the Tui Tuia | Learning Circle Languages team.

Fully immersing yourself in another culture is the best way to grow your language knowledge. Our short, intensive immersion courses involve spending two or three weeks in an overseas setting , putting your language knowledge into practice. Designed to help teachers improve their language confidence, cultural understanding, and teaching, these programmes have seen New Zealand teachers travel to Spain, China, Japan, Germany and Tahiti.
The 2022 Language and Cultural Immersion Programmes for teachers of Chinese, French, German, Japanese and Spanish, are an opportunity for teachers to spend five nights in Queenstown soaking up their target language and culture with the Tui Tuia | Learning Circle - Languages team, other selected teachers from around the country and language/culture-specific organisations.
Bring cultural insight, youthful enthusiasm, and authentic language into your school with an International Language Assistant. Through our programme, young native speakers visiting from France, Germany, or Spain can work in New Zealand schools for up to a year, as assistants to language teachers.
