Overview

This workshop is designed for Spanish language teachers eager to integrate authentic, real-world online tasks into their classrooms. Participants will explore how to use digital tools and resources such as social media, video content, and interactive websites to engage students in genuine social interactions and create meaningful, communicative tasks that reflect real-life language use.

When: 4.30-5.15pm, Wednesday 20 August.

Where: Online - Zoom link will be sent to registered participants.

Registrations open on 4 August and close on 19 August 2025.

This workshop will be delivered in Spanish.

What we will cover

In this workshop, participants will be guided through the process of creating real-world tasks to enhance engagement and learning in the Spanish classroom.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Design ready-to-use materials and online tasks about Sustainable Development Goals
  • Make their Spanish lessons more relevant, interactive, and impactful
  • Collaborate to build a learning community
  • Connect with other Spanish teachers and practise speaking Spanish in a professional, supportive environment

Tui Tuia | Learning Circle Languages is funded to provide professional learning for provisionally and fully registered Primary, Intermediate and Secondary teachers throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.
