Overview

French language teaching in Aotearoa New Zealand often focuses on Parisian French, which can limit students' exposure to the broader Francophone world. While this focus is valuable, it may unintentionally create a disconnect between the language and students’ diverse identities and lived experiences. This workshop provides ready-to-use, curriculum-aligned resources about Corsica, a French-speaking region with its own unique cultural identity, history, and language influences.
