It is our great pleasure to announce that the inaugural recipient of the Rosaria Campbell Award for Excellence in French Teaching is Priscilla Lynch (St Mary's College, Auckland). Priscilla was nominated not only by several colleagues at her school, but also from French teachers right across New Zealand!
Priscilla will travel to France in September and spend some time in Paris, as well as in Le Quesnoy, where she will be hosted at the New Zealand Liberation Museum - Te Arawhata. There she will work with the Museum to develop educational resources and meet with local educators to help bring our two countries even closer.
This award has been made possible thanks to the generous support of Rosaria’s family, the Embassy of France in New Zealand, the New Zealand Association of French Teachers (NZAFT), and the New Zealand Liberation Museum - Te Arawhata. We thank you all for helping to honour Rosaria’s significant contributions to French language education in New Zealand and to Te Arawhata.
Priscilla is widely known for her tireless commitment to providing her students with an engaging and authentically French learning experience. She is respected for her unwavering support of fellow teachers, generously sharing resources, creating competitions, and producing high-quality teaching materials. Priscilla is a long-time supporter of NZAFT and serves as the current Auckland regional officer.
Féliciations Priscilla et merci beaucoup pour tout ce que tu fais pour l'ensiegnement de la langue française en Nouvelle-Zélande. Tu es exceptionnelle! Bon courage et bon voyage!
