Overview

Participants will explore how to design and manage online collaborative inter-school projects. They will learn to create shared tools like maps and Padlets to implement real-world tasks, helping them foster student engagement, digital collaboration, and cross-cultural communication in meaningful, practical ways.

Course information

When: 4.30 pm - 5.15pm, Wednesday 30 July 2025.

Where: Online - Zoom link will be provided to registered participants.

Registrations open on 14 July and close on 29 July 2025.

What we will cover

Participants will learn how to design and implement collaborative projects, gaining confidence in working in teams and facilitating collaboration between Spanish students from different schools across New Zealand.

Participants will explore a variety of digital and interactive tools, including StoryMaps, MyMap, Google Earth, and Padlet, where students can upload their texts, videos, and photos. They will also design real-world online tasks that make learning Spanish more authentic and meaningful.

Additionally, participants will learn how to create video tutorials to guide students in using online resources for hosting their final products.

Tui Tuia | Learning Circle Languages is funded to provide professional learning for provisionally and fully registered Primary, Intermediate and Secondary teachers throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.
