Overview
Tui Tuia, in collaboration with the Japan Foundation Sydney, invites you to an online workshop on creating Japanese reading materials using generative AI, with guest speaker Joji Ikezu, Senior Language Consultant. This session will demonstrate practical ways to use tools such as ChatGPT to design texts and activities tailored to different learner levels, offering fresh ideas for your classroom practice.

Whether you are new to AI or already experimenting with it, this online workshop is a great opportunity to explore how generative AI can support Japanese reading activities and to share ideas with fellow teachers.
Participants will:
- Gain hands-on experience creating a Japanese reading text with ChatGPT through guided practice
- Learn techniques for writing effective prompts and refining AI output
- Explore strategies for adapting materials to different proficiency levels
- Share ideas and strategies with other teachers in small-group discussions
Language of delivery:
The session will be delivered in simple Japanese, with slides in English.
