Regionally Allocated PLD

Regionally Allocated-PLD (RA-PLD) has three main priorities:

  • Assessment for Learning
  • Local Curriculum Design
  • Cultural Capability

Schools can apply for PLD support through this mechanism that can be targeted specifically to their school or Kāhui Ako.

Earlier this year the Ministry of Education made some changes to RA-PLD which allows schools to seek support with NCEA subjects. This comes under Local Curriculum Design and when you make your application, you can search for specific facilitators to support your teachers in specific NCEA areas.

All our Languages facilitators are available to support you to develop your NCEA Learning Languages courses to meet the needs of the new NCEA achievement standards. If you feel you might benefit from this targeted approach, then please contact us for more information:
