Cross Cultural Exchange for all Language Teachers Workshop Review

November 16, 2021

Review by Ruth Sun, Selwyn College, Auckland

It was such an impressive and unforgettable workshop which was well- organised and showed us how to design and prepare real life tasks using task-based principles. I felt really motivated and engaged in learning and using the target language when I learnt to make the Alfajores and Dumplings using real ingredients. This cross-culture immersion workshop has inspired me to think creating tasks based on "learning target language while doing meaningful things" notion. I can't wait to run the dumpling workshop for my junior classes this term. I really enjoyed this practical workshop which provides us the opportunity to learn from one another as well as to socialize in a fun environment.
