NZALT Conference

Written by Tui Tuia Langauges Programme Manager, Stephanie Mortimore

The NZALT Conference is taking place in Auckland this year from 6th to 9th July.  The NZALT Biennial Conference | FIPLV World Congress will take place in the Owen G Glenn Building, located in the heart of The University of Auckland’s City Campus.

The Tui Tuia | Learning Circle whānau has always done an Immersion Day for all Languages on the Saturday before Conference begins and this year is no exception. Many NZSL teachers joined us for the previous Immersion Day in Dunedin two years ago and we hope you will join us again this year.

We have asked Ursula Thynne to be the facilitator of the NZSL section on the day and one of the things she will be showcasing are the new resources created last year for NZSL NCEA Level 1.

We are also offering travel subsidies for teachers to fly to Auckland of $500 per person.

If you are on our mailing list you will automatically receive the sign up links for the Immersion Day plus the registration link to apply for the subsidy.  If you would like to be on our mailing list, please sign up to our newsletter and tick Languages.

We look forward to seeing you at the Immersion Day!

Stephanie is the Programme Manager and a Facilitator for Tui Tuia | Learning Circle’s Languages, Culture & IdentityTeam.
