The Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) is a Korean language test for non-native speakers of Korean. The Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) is offered six times annually (Jan, Apr, May, Jul, Oct, Nov) within Korea and less often to people studying Korean in other countries.
This year, the 84th Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) is scheduled to be held on Saturday 15 October in Christchurch.

Representing the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea, the Korean Education Centre in New Zealand (KEC) has been offering Korean language classes in-person at no cost since established in 2012.
With the rising popularity of the Korean culture, these free Korean language classes have been incredibly popular. To cater for the increasing demand from both students and general public, KEC is extending to offer online Korean language classes from the beginners to the advanced levels starting from Term 3, 2022.
Both in-person and online Korean languages classes are available at no cost year around so if you are planning to embark on a new Korean language learning journey, please click this link for more information.
KEC also offers other opportunities and support for NZ schools and teachers that are interested in establishing new or strengthening their existing Korean language programmes.
