Overview

This two-term intensive course, supported by the North Asia Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence (North Asia CAPE), is designed to support New Zealand registered Years 0 to 13 school teachers teaching Chinese Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean.

What we will cover

The course aims to create a network where teachers can support each other in their roles and explore practical teaching solutions and ideas based on well-researched theory. It is a cluster-based and teacher-led action research course with a focus on the Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) approach.

Structure

This course is delivered through one 2-day face-to-face workshop and four online workshops. Participants will also be supported by a class visit and a digital learning platform for ongoing inquiry and reflection.


Cost

At no cost for NZ registered teachers. Travel to the workshop is covered by Tui Tuia | Learning Circle - Languages. Your school may claim for ONE Teacher Release Day for the two-day in-person workshop upon successful completion of the programme.
