This online workshop is intended for primary and intermediate school teachers of Spanish, as well as junior secondary school teachers.

Co-facilitated by Kara Morrison and Dr. José M. Díaz Rodríguez (Senior Lecturer, Massey University), this workshop offers the opportunity to explore and revise some of the mysteries of Spanish pronunciation and practise the different sounds.  

Participants will get the chance to revise and practise:  

• the basic Spanish vowel sounds making connections to those of Te Reo Māori
• word stress, intonation, pronouncing cognates, tips to pronounce long words
• fun tongue twisters

Learning and improving pronunciation not only help to communicate more clearly, but also to understand native speakers with ease. Please join us online to learn more about different classroom ideas on how to further enhance your learners’ language skills (reading aloud for an audience, listening, and speaking more easily and clearly). ‍
