Overview

This GROW programme has been specifically tailored for schools who have been awarded the $10,000 grant to develop their Languages Programme.

Teachers will be introduced to:
•    The Learning Languages Area of the NZC
•    Language teaching pedagogy and practice
•    Making a language learning programme sustainable
•    Resource development
•    Community engagement

We also have language learning modules and resources for teachers who do not have any experience with the language they are going to teach.  These are available specifically in French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Chinese and Korean.  Teachers of other languages are also welcome on the programme and we will endeavour to help with access to resources.

Dates will be determined in conjunction with the schools.  We usually have 2 full day workshops and 4 online workshops throughout the year.  All teacher release costs will be covered by us for the 2 full day workshops.

Full day workshops are usually 9-3pm
Online workshops are usually 4.00-5.00pm

Course duration: 12 month programme
