Chinese Immersion Programme in Beijing

When:

Departing from Auckland on Sunday 1 December, and returning to Auckland on Sunday 15 December.

Where:

Beijing, China

Application:

Applications open on 27th June 2024 and close on 19th July 2024.

Eligibility: ‍

• Must be a NZ registered teacher currently teaching Chinese at a NZ primary, intermediate, or secondary school.
• Must be a New Zealand passport holder or a New Zealand permanent resident visa holder.
• Must be between the ages of 25 and 55 to meet the eligibility criteria set forth by CLEC.

All applications are welcome, however, numbers on the trip are very limited. Therefore, priority will go to those who:

• Are involved in teaching levels 1 to 4 of the Learning Languages area of the curriculum.
• Are actively engaged with professional development offered by Tui Tuia | Learning Circle.
• Have a proficiency in Chinese at HSK Level 1 or higher.
• Are non-native speakers of Chinese.

The programme offers a unique opportunity for Chinese Language teachers to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of Beijing, China. During this immersive exploration, participants will engage in linguistic and cultural activities.
